Fancy up Your Reading Garden with Book Bricks!

Classic-brick-books

Welcome to Reading Garden week! As spring hits her stride, I’m looking forward to spending more time outdoors. I can’t think of a better setting to do some serious reading and writing than a beautiful sunny day with fresh air and green nature all around me.

If you’re looking for ways to make your outdoor sanctuary more of a reading garden, check out this fun project! I pinned this a long time ago as a future book club activity (originally here through the rabbit hole of the internet), and looking at the finished product photos makes me want to break out my paints immediately.

Painting bricks to look like your favorite books? Absolutely! I currently have little frog and turtle statues, along with some geodes, hanging out in my flower beds, and I think they’d love the company of some of my favorite titles. On my to-do list are The Phantom TollboothDeathlessThe Great Gatsby, 1984, Leaves of Grass, and Harry Potter. What would your choices be?

Lit & Love,

  1. Thanks for the share! I originally found this idea from an Australian site that’s credited on my blog. I just love the idea of book clubs, but have never joined one. Do you accept online members? Love your blog…enjoy!
